Final Post!

This shall be my final post before I head for Tekong...

Finished packing my bag tis afternoon, and it's damn heavy...time really flies, it's juz like last week when I received my enlistment letter, and now, I'm going to spend the last nite on my comfy bed wif the comfy aircon. Actually there's a part of me which is looking 4ward to NS, although juz tat tiny bit. But since it's compulsory to serve the country, I might as well make the best out of it. Dun know how much I will be home-sick, but I hope not much...I will never know until I'm away. Decided to forgo my discman, juz bring my receiver...going to use a handphone I've not been using for many many years...Nokia 3310! Sianz, y cannot bring camera fone...

I'm guranteed to have the follwoing for the next 4 months:
NO MORE of online and using my beloved computer.
NO MORE of late nights.
NO MORE of fun watching stupid and dumb Taiwan variety shows.
NO MORE of toking crap with my sis.
NO MORE of freedom.
NO MORE of going out with friends.
NO MORE of bathing alone.
NO MORE of supper.
NO MORE of everything and everything...

BUT...in return, I will have:
More training.
To wake up and sleep early.
New friends.
Money. (Pathetic $350 per month)
Healthy lifestyle.
A cheap haircut.
And of coz, lots and lots more, most importantly, getting away from tis busy city and troubles and living like a monk in the jungle for the nxt few months.

I hope I will have nice buddy and bunk mates, tat's the most impt part. Having nice people hanging ard will make my life happier and maybe easier even if the training is a killer. Pray for me...haha ~

Kaisoon juz sms me: "Welcome to paradise island!" He's in Tekong now...wonder if there will be any chance tat I can c him...hahaha ~ This whole shitting thing will end in 16 weeks, tink will pass very fast bah, if I'm not wrong, my BMT will end ard mid-December. If all goes well, I will have my 1st bookout on 4th Sept...

Lastly, want to thank all the people whu wish me luck...esp to the Chickens...and Sherwin for coming out for tat few couples of hours to accompany me.

D day is coming...

Went to take my driving test today, failed again. Sianz. But today real smooth, I thot I will pass, I got perfect score for circuit, and I went on quite well for my test route even though it's the worst and killer 1. Onli 4 ppl will tio the hardest route, and there's bout 15 ppl there, I was praying not to call my name when it comes to the route, but in the end...anyway, quite ok wif today even though failed coz the tester says my driving skill very good (the previous ones all failed coz they say driving skills need improvements), but he say I'm not a safety driver, and here's where I failed. But I still dunno I'm not safety enuff, tat's the worst part. LoLx ~ I thot I did ok on road safety. Okok, I'm a potential reckless driver. I shall pass the nxt time.

Yesterday went my uncle's hse for some family gathering...then after tat went Serra's hse for mahjong. Played 2 rounds, 1st round lost bout $8, second round won back and took back home an xtra $14.

Went back home ard 5a.m, and shared a cab wif Sherwin. Then the taxi driver a bit unstable...like slping time liao. After Sherwin got down, the taxi driver got worse...while on the xpressway, he was speeding but couldn't keep in lane, like drunk like tat. Then suddenly the cab slowed down and the cab went off to the right, nearly hitting the kerb. Then I saw the uncle dozing off, and juz when I was about to shout out to him, he suddenly woke up and went back to normal. Then he started to hit his face and shaking it to keep himself awake. I was praying all the way to let me reach home safely...lolx ~

Shahid enlisted today, Ei Hua tml, me Thurs...tat's in 3 days...juz finished packing my bag half-way, found quite a few things which I haven got yet, going buy tml...

Time is passing super duper fast...4 days more of civilian life, and Thursday will be coming. Actually I dun worry or think much nowadays on NS stuffs...juz hope it will pass quickly...esp the BMT. Hope my 1st 6-weeks of PTP will be easy and enjoyable. Haha ~

Tis few days did nothing much. Went to library tat day and borrowed 3 books, forgotting I going into army liao. So I guessed I onli haf time for 1 book. Now reading "Storm" by Boris Starling. Not a bad book. Shld be able to finish reading by Monday. Wondering if I shld borrow a few books go Tekong read. I dun have a habit of reading books anyway, esp English novels...but nowadays quite bored at home, so no choice.

1 of my uncle started tis "Family E-contact Network", trying to unite all the family members from my mum's side. I tink 1st time got tis kind of thing in a family ar. Maybe it's good bah, can stay close together coz as we grew older, we r busy wif our own stuffs and seldom contact each other. Still remember last time we (cousins) always meet up and go swimming lah, bowling lah...nowadays no more liao. But wonder if it will work, coz now onli 2 of my uncles started participating in it. Tml having a family gathering oso. Hope it's fun...

Gonna start packing NS stuffs on Monday, and check if lack anything...going buy watch and receiver on Tuesday.

My Graduation -- by SPEED

Today's my graduation! Yesterday slept at bout 2a.m and woke up at 6.30a.m tis morning. So tired...left hse at 7.30a.m, went to pick sherwin up at Sengkang and head down to sch. Supposedly muz reach sch by 8.15a.m, but Serra came at 9.30a.m oso can go in. Shldn't have went so early. Anyway, tis morning went and register my name, then they sort and queued you by course of study then by name. So kena separated frm those I knew. Luckily, in the end, SW was queued behind me, so whole ceremony got someone to chit chat abit. 9.30a.m start ceremony, then as usual, got lengthy speeches and stuffs....boring.

Then started to queue up row by row to go on stage and receive an empty folder, then go down stage and out to collect the diploma and back to our seats. Went on stage, shook hands, hold the folder wif 2 hands, and took pics. Rather bo liao. The ceremony ended wif Kelly Clarkson's song "A moment like this".

After tat my parents went back hme 1st, coz going out wif my class ppl. Went refreshment area eat, take pics for a whole 1.5hrs. Saw my lecturer, Karmen Yuen, he was my supervisor when I was having attachment in sch 2 yrs back. Always c him will shout out "Hey, Handsome!" Coz there's tis time when we were following him to collect some stuffs and got tis colleague of his saw him far away and shouted "Handsome!" oso. Since then, we called him Handsome. He always very paiseh when we call him tat. These r all memories for the past 3 yrs in NYP.

Went KTV after photo-taking, the whole 11 of us. Went Party World at Orchard, got quite a bit of fun, but was real tired...eyes going close. Not onli me, everyone...coz woke up early mah. Then went Swensens eat dinner. Then went hme...end of graduation day.

Tis 3 yrs in NYP actually was quite a memory...even though I hated attending boring lectures, tutorials, but I got it thru. Always hated the feeling of doing projects the whole nite and slping for an hr or two and heading to sch wif swollen eyes, slpy feeling and irritating mood. But tinking back, it seems like all these "hatred" makes tis diploma more worth it to be treasured. Of coz, there are good times in the 3 yrs too...like the 6mths non-study semester (having attachment), knowing lots of frends, enjoying the cheaper food and many many more others. Will always remember all these...anyway, happy tat finally graduate le...sort of ended my studying life for now...after 16yrs of sch life...

Tis few days did nthing much, juz stayed home and played mahjong whole day long...for 2 days, coz my siblings holiday (National Day) and my cousin came my hse stay. Play until like no tml...haha ~ Lost quite abit to them...but it's ok. Like wat my mum says, going NS liao, money so much oso no use, might as well gif the younger ones. Haha ~

Then today woke up quite early went KTV wif Duan, again. Coz she got voucher for K-Lunch. So we got lunch and 3hrs for free. Not bad ar...today can go play, yet no need pay, thx to her. And yeah, wishing all the best for her and her Lancer guy!

Juz a short post for now...watching TV...I guess guess guess show...got Yuan Wei Jue Xing and Linda!

Tml gonna wake up very early, coz it's my graduation day! 8.15a.m muz reach NYP, and going gif Sherwin a lift. Finally...getting the cert...

Counting down...last 10 days of civilian life...

Juz came back from a National Day Dinner. As usual, every yr got lots n lots of MPs toking non-stop bout S'pore on stage. PM Goh Chok Tong oso there as special guest, but he no gif speech. Then got sing National Anthem and say Pledge, oso not forgetting holding our glasses high and saying "To the President!" Lame...I went for the food anyway, haha ~ Now more serious liao, last few yrs no check us, now still got install the detector at the entrance of the restaurant, have to walk past it. Then police hanging ard in the restaurant.

Anyway, tis dinner was paid by my uncle. Every yr went wif him, but tis yr he got another National Day dinner somewhere else. So got the whole table to ourselves. I remembered last yr we still tio a radio for lucky draw. Tis yr no tio anything, sad...

Was listening to Jay's album tis 2 days, got tis song I thot was nice, but dunno the title, keep telling ppl dun know track 4 or 5. Today found out tat it's track 5, [Jiang Jun]. When I went to collect the album tat day, the music store was playing tis song...and it's really nice.

*Ah Choo!!* Sorry...I'm allergic to bullshit...

Today got lots of people accompany me for my birthday. Sherwin, Shangwei, Duan, Wen Xiang, Chuanyi and KC. Supposedly to meet up at 6.45p.m, but in the end everyone late, Sherwin last to arrive, at 7.20p.m. But I reached Orchard at bout 6.30p.m, met Duan 1st coz she finished her work liao.

After everyone arrived, KC suggest go eat tis Taiwan BBQ. In the end, it's $28+ per person, so dropped the idea and went Marche. After tat Duan left, and we went watch 'i Robot', rather a nice show...worth watching. When the show ended, it's already near midnite, so KC and WX rush to catch the last train. So left me (Tampines), Sherwin (Sengkang), Shangwei and Chuanyi (both Hougang). Shared a cab home. As usual, no matter who I share the cab wif, I'm always the last to alight. Haha ~ But all share quite cheap lah...wif midnite charge, I oso forked out less than $6.

This marks the end the day, 5th August. Hmmm...thx again for those who wish me and accompanied me. Tinking back, muz special thx Sherwin. Coz when the clock struck 12 for the start of my birthday, he was there. And when the clock struck again at 12 to end my birthday, he oso there. Haha ~

2 weeks later on this day, I will already be slping in Tekong, and waking up in 3.5hrs...haha ~

5th August!

Went to collect Jay's CD yesterday. It's rather a nice album ar...still got VCD, then got 2 MTVS inside. Got some different kind of music, but it's still very "Jay". But the MTVs are nice...my mum went to buy Ocean Au's CD oso...coz she say tis singer sounded nice. But when I listen, his voice doesn't sound as good as on TV and radio, dunno y...

Yesterday afternoon went bugis, and reached home awhile, Sherwin called me ask me go out...so went meet him and Serra at Sengkang. Sherwin wanted me to treat, so I treated him and Serra to dinner...at Food Court. Then went sit at Starbucks, and nthing much to do, so shift to Sherwin's hse play cards. Play a few rounds Daidee then a bit bored liao, so we started to play "Truth or Dare". Did alot of stupid and mad stuffs...now tink back we really play until too high liao...really is ultimate madness. Haha ~ but still, it was fun. Reached home rather late...very very tired.

Yesterday slept at 4a.m, and tis morning woke up at 9a.m. Saw got a few msgs, reply and couldn't slp liao. Woke up and saw my sis drew a bdae card 4 me, and place it beside my specs. Then went brush teeth, came back saw another bdae card on the computer keyboard. My maid bought the card for me, still got music 1...haha ~ dunno how much it cost her...

Anyway, thx for the birthday cards and presents and wishes ~

2 Weeks and 2 Days to go...

Feel tat time is passing real fast...very soon I will be in army and isolated from the outside world. My cousin went into army for a yr+ liao le, but it seems like juz last mth's thingy, so fast. But Yongyou go in for 1.5 yrs liao, it seems like he in there for 3 yrs liao. Haha ~ Okok, I oso dunno wat I toking. But really weird...although they both went in bout same time, but the feeling of time passing is different.

Yesterday went KTV wif Duan. Went to Hougang Kbox. Did stupid stuffs again, haha ~ Anyway, 5 hours of KTV seems juz nice for me, but Duan say not enuff. Find 1 day will go again, hope Serra they all can make it liao le. But Serra Monday got tuition, Duan onli Monday off.

Tis 1 whole week keep going here and there, feeling so tired. Finally tis 2 days nthing on, so I gonna rest and slp and eat at home. Although I juz woke up not long, but I still feel tired...haizz...getting old, haha ~

Jay's album out today! Dun feel like going out, so will go collect it maybe tml or thurs.

Oh yeah, Hiro's English Jazz album will be on sale tml. But the preview of the songs didn't capture much positive response...most of them said her English is not fluent enuff...but among them, there's still some whu makes it in a positive way..."Hiro's English is better than the time when she last record an English song." Anyway, since the response is not good, I wun want to buy it...save money oso.

Tis morning woke up at 9.30a.m, got ready and rushed out, meeting Shihui, Jing-ni and Jiayi 10.50a.m at Orchard. While preparing to go out, Duan msg me ask me tml r we going ahead wif our KTV plans...then I told her bout Voon Kiat, coz we planned ask SW they all to KTV, but the time dun seems rite to ask ppl out 4 KTV...then she very shocked...and started to tink and tink like Serra yesterday. Hope she will be fine after a slp.

Anyway, I reached Orchard at 11a.m sharp. Going Party World sing 11-2p.m. Jiayi 1st to reach, and Jing-ni slightly after 11a.m. But no open yet...in the end 11.30a.m then open...so Shihui didn't miss much even though she reached at 11.35a.m. Sang lots of stupid children songs like "San Lun Che" and stuffs...had great fun wif them. They got me a Adidas cap for my birthday. Real nice...thank them again! After tat went Marche sit sit, and tok crap again...tink I wun get to meet them anymore b4 my NS...haizz...

Then came home, family celebrate my birthday, had steamboat (I reuqested), then my auntie bought a cake...then my 2 other aunites dunno I celebrating my bdae, so they juz gif me money...after tat play mahjong, won bout $20. Quite lucky today ~

Tml going KTV as planned...but no ask anyone, coz like mentioned above, dunno if we shld ask or not. Going wif Duan alone, coz Sherwin not very keen on going when Serra is not going oso. Serra hafing tuition. So too bad...

Life is so unpredictable...

Tis morning Serra called me and tell me 1 of our sch ppl, Voon Kiat, got into an accident and died. Although I didn't really know him, but I was shocked and got mixed feelings over it. Can't believe 1 person can juz die like tat. 1st met him thru Serra, coz got a period of time Serra quite close to him...feel tat life is juz so unpredictable...can feel tat Serra very traumatized by tis news...and sounded very sad...so I ask her out for a walk. We met up in the evening, and she still cannot accept the fact tat he's gone, juz like tat.

Had a small talk at a coffeeshop rite at the roadside, and she say better finished up our drink and leave, coz like very dangerous...got phobia liao. Then we went to walk ard Bugis Junction and went look for Steven at Food Junction. Saw him at the booth helping ppl scratch card for contest. Very long no c him liao oso. Then after tat we walked to Marina Sq and sat down at an outdoor bar, coz there got TV, and it's near 10p.m, so Serra wanted to c if they got news on the accident or not. We requested the owner to change channel and watched the news. In the end, dun haf...so we left, wanting to go home. But Serra wanted to take cab, and not enuff cash, so we walk ard to search for ATM machine.

Finally walked to Suntec, and by the time she got her money, it's already 11.30p.m. Lots of ppl waiting for cab at Suntec, so we walked and walked, wondering where then can get cab. In the end, we decided to take the MRT...but rite after we parted in the station, she called me again say her train there very very crowded, want to try find cab again. So we met again and went up to wait 4 a cab. End of nite.

Tis afternn my sis wanted to eat Pizza Hut, so I met her in her sch after her CCA and went to eat. We ordered a 2-ppl set meal. And after she drank the soup and eat some stuffs, she's full liao. In the end, she onli ate 1 slice of pizza and I haf to finished it up...eat until very full. Saw Kaijie at TM oso...but he wif his frends quite in frnt, so no go say hi. End of afternn.

End of day. Today spent $60. No money...going broke...

Tml going KTV...Monday oso planning go KTV...I need money.
