A Happening Week in Camp...Nowadays seldom tok bout my army life...so today's post shall start toking bout it.
Went outfield the nite before. It's been a long time since I went outfield...and it's back to my familiar ground. Poyan area...at Lim Chu Kang cemetries there...tis was 1 of the outfield tat I sort of enjoyed the most. I still hate it though, juz tat out of the outfields, which I hate it all, tis 1 was the best.
After dinner, we were told to drive the rover up the road and spend our nite somewhere we tink is comfortable. So we chose an open area, so 4 of us (driver, my CQ, me and the other storeman) were alone in a big big area. My CQ then took out 6 packets of Mee Goreng Maggi Mee and said "Let's party!" Wahaha ~ so he took out solid fuel and mess tins and started cooking the maggi mees. I helped him by shining my torchlight on the noodles so he can c if it's cooked or if anything fell frm the tree. We laid groudsheets on the ground and treated like we were having a picnic. Then after tat laid down on the groundsheets and started toking nonsense b4 they fell aslp. I didn't slp a wink the whole nite coz of the mosquitoes and the snorings made by my CQ and the other storeman.
Morning came and our S3 SIR happened to walk past us, and saw 4 "corpses" lying on an open area. Of coz, he's not very happy and walked to us. I knew he's coming coz I heard his voice from far lo. He asked my CQ whu we were and my CQ anyhow say we were "safety" rover. But the S3 str tore down his mask and said:
"U Alpha CQ rite! Whu ask u slp can topless 1? At least wear your uniform lah! And summore slp in open area...can be more tactical abit or nt? At least slp near the vegetations to camouflage lah!"
Okok, tt's all bout my fieldcamp.
Another news would be...I MOST PROBABLY WUN BE GOING BRUNEI! It's been a dramatic week...I'm going, I'm not going, I'm going, I'm not going...anyway to cut the story short...we haf 4 storemen and a CQ...so at 1st is CQ, me and Ah Wee(the other storeman) go...but the other 2 storemen said since we 3 going, they oso want go, dun wan stay in camp. So my Sgt Major thot it's a gd idea tat since they wan go, might as well go together...so 5 of our names went in. Then came the news tat CQs all not going coz year-end got LRI, an impt stock-taking. So CQs will stay in camp and check stores and do maintanence. And then my CQ asked for at least me or Ah Wee to stay behind help him. I was the chosen 1 coz I can help wif alot of paperwork...(the whole coy got the idea tat I'm great in paperwork and know alot of CQ job scopes...dunno y...I'm quite blur bout everything, serious).
SO...now 90% is tat I'm gonna stay in camp. But coz they already handed in the final namelist before tis decision was made, so have to c if my name can be taken out...if can't, then bye bye to Singapore, and hello to Brunei!
Actually I was quite looking 4ward to Brunei le...really...quite alot of things to experience. But when I knew tat my CQ nt going, I lost all the mood to go. Coz if he nt going, I sure kena all his burdens, coz I'm "the 1 whu knows everything", when I'm not. And sure messy wifout CQ 1, so might as well dun go...
