Misc...

1. After 1 week at work, I'm still not switched to the working mode. Maybe is because of the festive season.

2. My sister was supposed to re-bond her hair, but she came back with curls. She's now officially Auntie Emily.

3. Tried strawberry prata for the 1st time. S$2.50 with strawberry jam all over it....picture below.



It's actually very sweet and...taste like strawberry jam. Hahahaha ~

1st Day @ Work...

Just like any other job, 1st day is the most boring. Filling forms, go through induction and orientation, take pic for pass blah blah blah.

Was told by the HR this morning our plant is closing from 25th Dec all the way to 4th Jan. I was like "woo-hooing" in my heart. Even though it means deducting leave/pay. Then came the bad news from my new boss, everyone is not working between that period except our dept + production. Sian liao.

Even though no difference, coz it means I get to maintain my leave/pay, but just thot of getting through this 3 months probation in the easiest n fastest way possible. You know...probation period sux...no leave, no benefits, no nothing.

Haha ~ suan le bah, ren ming liao...

Back and Sian-ing

Back from Taiwan yesterday nite...6 days in Taiwan, nothing spectacular, nothing happening...just pure visiting a foreign country. 5 of us went, without anyone knowing anything about Taiwan...from planning and surfing web, everything we did ourselves. And here's the free and easy tour for the 6 days.

Our main source of transport in Taipei, MRT...it's convenient, and I think it's better than Singapore's version. My personal favourite over cab or bus in Taiwan.


We have a free half-day guided tour, and this is the only place I've heard before.


Trip to Danshui was unplanned for, but we went due to nothing better to do...and guess what, we were so tired that we visited their KTV for a rest.


Their sun set at 5+ every afternoon as it's winter over there...and it's complete darkness by 6.30p.m. I like the view of this Danshui River...


We travelled to Taichung for a night, and we took the bullet train.


The bullet train is much better than I thought it would it be. Comfy, lots of leg space and stable. Most importantly, it takes only 45mins to reach Taichung, compared to 2.5hrs on bus.


Went to the Science Centre at Taichung. It's so much bigger than Singapore's...and the 3D show is great too. And so many kids!


Also visited Fong Jia Night Market in Taichung, a resemblance to Singapore Geylang + Bugis Street.


Because of our hotel location, we were in Xi Men Ding most of the nights. And this is the shop which is 4ever queuing and lots of people holding their bowls. No seats...you want to eat, you have to stand.

See...nothing spectacular as promised. Haha.

I'm juz glad to be back, except for the part that I'm starting my new job in 1 day...yawn...

She's still as chio as ever.

I'm flying off to Taiwan tomorrow afternoon for a week...holiday. But weird thing, I'm not excited at all....hahaha ~

When it all ended...

My last day at work today. Went to work feeling nothing different, and went through 1 day of hell coz of some work-related stuffs.

When it all ended, there's only me and my boss left. We sat down to do the handover, returning all the assets I'm holding...keys, laptop blah blah. My boss asked me how I'm feeling. I said surprisingly, I felt nothing. He said sure feel mixed feelings 1.

I didn't realise that until i stepped out. I start to feel that I didn't fully enjoy my last day at work, I didn't think of the stuffs I did for the past 1.5yrs, I just left like a normal day off work.

While on the bus home, I was looking at the scenery and landmarks which I've been looking at for the past 10 months I'm in this new office. I felt sad. It's like I'm never gonna go through this route again, but then again, who knows right.

But again, I felt glad to be out of that shit company. Assholes, politics, fightings, sarcasm. Even though I've never got involved with these directly, but by observing, it made me felt sick. And there's always a chance to face all these shit again in my new company...but I'm gonna move on and never look back.

I'm gonna enjoy my next 2 weeks of break, and I'm starting over....
