When...

My company deals in technological stuffs...and even the people talk very technologically....

Often, I see and hear...

In emails: "Hi , I will like to download to Eric the following stuffs..."

In talking: "Let me go to the meeting, hear what is being said, and I will download to you guys when I'm back."

At 1st when I heard this, I thought there's a file or something that needs to be downloaded into our computer...but I soon found out it's their way of talking about passing you information.

Tired...

3rd week at work...and been very busy. Getting very overloaded, and have to bring work home everyday. And I found something weird about this company...there's always a meeting for everything. Every single small thing. I'm only in there for 3 weeks, but I've been to countless meetings already. Usually it last a couple of hours, and I just sit there and do nothing. People will ask if I have any questions at the end of everything, and all I got to do is shake my head. Haha ~ Oh, and I get to bring a notebook, open it, and close it without writing anything.

Been reading in the employee handbook about the facilities they have. And went up to take a look with my colleague that day. The gym is good, small but new and sufficient stations to work on every part of your body. Then they have a table tennis room as well, with rather new bats and ping pong balls. Then they have 2 KTV rooms, but have to bring our own CDs and DVDs. And I didn't realise they also have a tennis court at the rooftop. Although I heard that is poorly maintained.

But seriously, who in the right mind will want to use these facilities during office hours, or stay in company premises after knocking off?

Company is gonna shut down for another week during CNY, and most probably 1 more time in Feb...but I'm not affected again. Have to work! work! work!

It's all about saving cost. Another round of retrenchment and paycut coming.....

What a coincidence...

Yesterday I received an email from some HR company. I got my 1st job thru them, and that was like 2 years ago.

The email I received was attention to another person, and of a particular industry. And so coincidentally, I got a friend by the same name and looking for a job in the stated industry. So I asked him if he sent an email to this particular agency and he said yes.

Today he called the agency, and the agency actually verified that he is the person they intended to send to in the first place!

I should go buy 4D liao...so many people looking for jobs everyday, and I actually picked up an email intended for my friend...through an agency I haven't been in contact for 2 years.

It's an usual practice to write down the resolutions for 2009 blah blah blah...but I was trying to think of my own, when I discovered that I didn't have any. Hahaha ~ As long as my new job is stable and good, that's more important.

Oh yeah, my new job is tiring. Have to geng alot of my brain power everyday...throw me 1 stack of raw data, and I have to find answers in it. My brain-dead brain is trying to wake itself up...
