Hogging the ATM Machine...

Sometimes I wonder why aunties like to hog the ATM Machine...

They can:
- stare at the screen for a long time.
- insert their cards in and out for a couple of times.
- press for a receipt (you have to wait for awhile to get that receipt).
- remain standing at the ATM Machine after transaction, and read their receipt.

Ok, maybe they have too much money, they can't decide how much to withdraw. Maybe they have too many transactions, and they forgot a couple of it. Maybe they want to keep track of their money at all times. Maybe they want to make sure all transactions are properly completed, if not they will continue to repeat all 4 points above.

Cannot tahan.

Dragonfly

Been wanting to visit this club for a loonng time. Tried to enter 2 years back, but I did not meet their minimum age requirement.

Yesterday was Monday, I haven't clubbed for a few yrs, and I haven't been to a club on a weekday (except for Wednesdays). So I went...and there were so many no life people there on a Monday. Not expecting that.

Actually it's not exactly clubbing, because all I did was sit there listening to the live band belting out a mix of chinese, english and canto songs. They played retro during breaks, and people just dance around, seeming to enjoy the retros more than the live band show. The atmosphere was good though, and it seems like a big getai...haha ~

Maybe I'll go again someday.

Meetings and Meetings

My company loves meetings. I'm only there for less than 3mths, but I've been to countless meetings. There were even a couple of times when I literally spent my whole day in meetings and having conference calls that I didn't check my emails for the whole day.

These meetings are usually non-productive. I think it's juz a bunch of people who dun feel like working, get together, and talk nonsense for a couple of hours, spending the time away. I always come out of a meeting feeling very empty. Like nothing is concluded, nothing is achieved. Then the next meeting comes, and the cycle goes on and on. It's quite sad actually.

Every single small matter can lead to a meeting. I have a meeting weekly where everyone update what they did for the week. And it includes people in other parts of Asia (conference call). So there are about 20 over people participating, and we will go around the table telling the whole world what we did for the week. This meeting usually last 1.5 - 2 hours. Sounds dumb right.

My company have more than 20 meeting rooms, but they are always fully-booked. You need to book in advance to get a room. That's how much my company loves meetings.

Luckily I dun really have a heavy workload (for now), and I welcome the meetings. Coz I'm 1 of the person who dun feel like working. And time passes fast when in a meeting. Haha ~

I now conclude that I'm pro-meeting!
