Harmless Email

Today, I went for a meeting in the afternoon. When I came back, I saw so many new emails. And I'm gone only for less than an hour.

Then I saw most of them are the same topic email. I opened the 1st one...the subject title was in a foreign language, followed by the content stating "Approved" by a production manager in Germany. In it, he "cc:" a mass email group (where I'm in it too). Nothing else was stated or attached.

Then the spamming came. The next email was "?", and the next "??", and the next "???". And then dozens of people joined in with the "??", "replying to all" each time.

The next thing I knew, people started to reply with their own language, European, Chinese, Dubai e.t.c. And when they did, people who did not understand the language started to reply to the emails with more question marks. The only email I understand is from a China colleague replying the email with "看不懂?"

And then the next batch of people started to get irritated, and ask people to stop replying to all (at the same time). And this batch of people created another new long list of emails.

It finally stopped when the IT came in, and say that they will be blocking all emails under this subject.

By then, my inbox is already flooded.

But it entertained me for the rest of the afternoon.
