6 months and counting

6 months in this new company. 6 months and 5 days to be exact as of today.

I was told of a paycut for everyone in the company, worldwide, before I completed my 1st month in my job. This paycut is still ongoing, but in return I got 2 off days a month for the paycut. So it's not exactly a paycut, it's just forced unpaid leaves every month. Although I rather have my pay back, but I quite enjoy a break, 2 times a month. Our pay is supposed to be back before the year ends.

I saw 2 retrenchments. Heard alot of stories that people cried, shout in disbelief etc. I'm just lucky I'm not one of them.

Overall, my job is rather boring. I miss my previous job...I miss my ex-colleagues...but whenever I think of the sucky management, stupid bosses, I will feel that leaving is worth it. Adding to that, my ex-company was bought over by a bigger company. And alot of my ex-colleagues left...

Maybe I made a wrong choice to join a manufacturing company, they are always 1 of the worst hit during recessions. But I guess I will just stay on and see how things go.

When it all started..

It all started at a choice of either getting a new pair of shoes or a new digital watch. I wanna a new pair of shoes because one of the current pair I'm wearing is getting worn out. I wanna a new digital watch because the one I have was accidentally scratched, and I only have more formal watches left. Wanna have a digital one for casual wear.

I ended up deciding to get the watch because I have quite a few pairs of shoes already, but I don't have many watches.

Then I stepped into this store. And I saw a watch which was not bad, and the salesperson told me it's free now if I sign up as a member. The watch cost about S$120, and signing up as member is S$50. So I saved S$70. And so I gladly signed up.

Then she told me I can get 20% off any store items now (on the day of signing up only). Any other days will only entitle me 10%. So I went to see their shoe racks. And found a pair which caught my eye. I bought it as well.

End of the day, I got 2 items for the price of one! I was happy but guilty at the same time...I should have controlled myself, I dun actually need a new pair of shoes...hahaha ~

I swear not to buy any more useless stuffs for the next 1 month.

1st Time...

2 1st time yesterday.

I visited the dentist. I haven't visit a dentist all my life. Primary school doesn't count I guess, during NS check also not counted. I have no problem with my teeth actually, juz wanna do a check since I haven't done one before. And had it cleaned up.

Now I have a bright clean set of teeth. I'm gonna have a regular checkup from now on! It's time to take care of my teeth and gum.

I went to Wild Wild Wet yesterday. It opened for a couple of years already, but I haven't stepped in before. S$15.50 entrance, it's not worth it. Quite disappointed actually...nothing much to play around inside...no more 2nd time for this.
