1 year 3 days and counting...

1 year and 3 days in my work. From handling customer queries & support for the 1st 9 months, to handling regional freight finance analysis now, I think I didn't let myself down.

This job as compared to my previous jobs:

1. No ringing of handphone when I'm on leave or during weekends.
2. Working independently, I'm the only person doing my scope of work now.
3. No OT required.

Even though there are quite a few meetings & conference calls to attend every week, I actually quite love what I'm doing now. I guess I will be staying where I am probably for another 1 year.

Eric with Straight Hair!

I went to rebond my hair partially today.

It's the 2nd time I'm doing it. The 1st time didn't have good results, and the hair went back to curls within a week.

Today's effect is much much better, and I just couldn't believe myself with straight hair. Even though it's only done partially, I'm more than happy...haha ~ I dunno how long it will withstand before going back to curls (I'm betting 2 weeks), so I'm gonna enjoy myself with straight hair before it's back to square 1.

I'm back from Bangkok, and it's so fun but very tiring. I walked so much that my legs are still aching. It's been many years since I last went to Bangkok...

10 random things I found & done in Bangkok:

1. I went to Chattuchak, Suan Lum & Patpong twice in 4 days. These are the only places where you get real cheap deals.
2. The so-called great wholesale shopping centre, Platinum Mall, sucks for guys but heaven for gals.
3. Thais queue while waiting for trains...when you see people trying to rush into trains in order to get a good seat, you know they are Singaporeans.
4. I didn't see a single cockroach for the 5 days I'm there. Weird...
5. I wonder why their escalators for skytrain and MRT are all "downwards" operated. You have to climb stairs when going "upwards".
6. Most Thais are very nice people.
7. Their Christmas atmospheres & decos are so much better than Singapore's.
8. Their life starts at night. It's a bustling night destination.
9. Thai drivers can ultimately become F1 racers. They have damn good driving skills.
10. Their roadstalls selling food all smell the same. I dunno why.

I will love to go back again for more shopping, walking & sightseeing!

Bangkok, here I come!!!

After being so hardworking at work for the past 2 months, I've given myself another reward...I'm gonna get out of Singapore!

No more coach, no more triangle customs stamps...I'm going to somewhere a little (just a little) further...I'm going Bangkok!

Flying off tomorrow for 5 days of endless enjoyment and relaxation!
